To progress through the levels, the player must find ways to move between them, while simultaneously killing armies of hellish creatures. In the course of the battle, a guy manages to kill a demon who, in his death agony, destroys a scorcher. Once in hell, a Marine stumbles upon the abode of one of the demonic creatures. This forces the Marine to go straight to hell to find a way to lock the gates or to destroy all the creatures. Having reached the gate, which opened the passage between the dimensions, the hero finds no way to lock it. Soon the character of Doom 2 is in for a surprise - the guy gets a signal again from people who have managed to locate the place where the enemy regiments are coming from. He is reassured after receiving word from the survivors, for the civilization of earthlings will be able to revive by settling in space. The protagonist is the last living person on Earth. They went to the spaceport, using which the survivors move to the transport spacecraft. In the process, the hero gets to know that some people have been saved. The character will again have a firefight with a familiar enemy. Shooter consists of three dozen levels, from simple arenas, to long mazes, and 2 secret ones, Wolfenstein and Grosse, which were first passé with separate textures, soundtracks, and SS men from Wolfenstein. Monsters rage in military bases and on city streets, so the architecture of levels in the game. In the previous part the protagonist managed to deal with monsters on Mars, Phobos, and Deimos, and now it's the turn of his home planet. As the story of DOOM 2 continues, the hero Marine battles enemies from the underworld and sets out for the Earth, which has been transformed into a living hell by monsters.
